On The Street: Bright Young Things

July 29, 2008

The day we saw this girl on the street it was HOT, like our shins were sweating hot, and she was a mirage of color: turquoise, yellow, orange and red. Summer sun has this tantalizing effect on bright colors. It makes them look almost fairytale terrific, which we suspect is why tropical towns always wash their walls with deep earth tones or shocking bolds. With summer at its peak, we're embracing all the bold we can get, because we're pretty sure, before we know it, the snow boots are gonna be coming out of the closet. Is it bad that we see the glass as half empty? We don't think so, it just helps us to get into the moment.
