On The Street: Cool Kids Part II
- story THE FADER
There is that mythical, golden window of time between childhood and manhood where boys kind of look the same as girls. Most dudes would probably classify this pretty-pretty phase as difficult or traumatic, but the cleverest and most stylish boys embrace their man-child looks with gusto, growing long and wild Kate Bush hair and waltzing around 100 friendship bracelets-deep like they ought to be cast in a Gus Van Sant movie. Of course a good trench for the fall is a no-brainer at any age, but a rain coat when it is 100 degrees outside is gangster-ness on an epic level. Which ultimately begs the question—who is this mystery creature? And did he/she just escape from the prequel to Lost Boys that is currently screening in our minds?
