Style: Understand the Bear

As you can imagine, in most office situations lots of paper passes over your desk and into its designated pile (or undesignated corner). In the style department’s case a whole lot of that paper is allotted to lookbooks, and despite the company or the clothes, it’s rare to see something that geeks out as much as an artsy editorial or gets as intimate as a zine. L.A. line, Bear Clothing Company took their lookbook to the figurative teen den, compiling a zine-like booklet of random snapshots, comical drawings, and catchy one-liners amongst the pieces in their Fall/Winter ‘08 line. The first page opens with a drawing of a bewildered bear holding a cartoon boy’s detached head, and at the bottom in print, “Ah, shit…”
