We continue to check for whatever Jace Clayton aka DJ/Rupture is doing because he exemplifies a lot of stuff we feel pretty strongly about, namely the way he ignores global boundaries entirely and works with artists who take a little bit from everywhere (also he writes for us). RCRD LBL, has a song from Filastine, who is signed to Rupture’s Soot label. We’re not going to get nerdy and try to throw dude’s music into categories like dubstep or downtempo or whatever, instead we’ll just say that Filastine is making choppy, smokey music that draws from the entire world without getting crushed under the weight of its influences.
