Freeload: Kontinental Gangstas’ Juke Mix

February 09, 2009

We've been feeling deep lust for the Brick Bandits' massive collective take on Jersey club music and bangin regional dancefloor genres from other far-flung locales, and we are also impressed that a crew that makes the Wu-Tang look like an intimate family gathering can stay so focused, period. Prolific, though? Not a problem. This particular gem is a juke jumpoff from D-51 and Charlie Glitch, of Chi-city's Ghetto Division and Brick Bandits respectively. Collectively they are known as Kontinental Gangstas. They are serious about their AKAs and getting you, the collective dancefloor, to percolate, and the whole thing bangs but we are particularly stuck on the contemplative pianos and hyperspeed rhythms of Leatherface's "Loving Memory" segueing into "All the Hoes." Tracklist at Mad Decent.
