Now that the Dow is below 1997 levels, we can all pretend that The Rapture is still a year away from forming, five years from releasing "House of Jealous Lovers," six from the Echoes LP that the world slept on, and twelve whole years from yesterday when we asked the band's Mattie Safer what he was up to and he said, "just busy writing." Why did we ask and why would we want to erase the last decade? Because Safer's recent mix for the Ed Banger Presents show on Le Mouv reminded us of the gaping hole in the dance universe left by The Rapture's relative absence over the last couple of years. So maybe we just want to erase the last two years, but this mix is so good we're hyperbolizing all over the place. Throne of Blood imprint. He is also jokingly "available for parties, weddings and bar mitzvahs" but probably only until we get back to the year 2000. Tracklist after the jump.
