Style: Staff Affections

Every Wednesday, The FADER Style team asks employees and employers at our favorite shops around the world what their most cherished in-store item is at that exact moment. This week, we talked with smart staffers at London's Beyond the Valley and L.A.'s Ooga Booga.

Eran Leon, Beyond the Valley, London

This wonderfully practical coat/dress was inspired by a vintage piece from the late 20's that was handed down to one of the Beyond the Valley designers by a relative. The Noreen dress has been re-contextualized into a contemporary design, springing this little gem into the now without losing its 1920's glamour. The silky smooth cotton will keep you cool during those hot summer days whilst the shell-like collar adds a flare of elegance to the silhouette.

Lisa Sitko's ceramic apple pipe is awesome because it's a beautiful object that fits in nicely with my apartment and it doesn't make me look like a stoner. Every apple is different but my particular piece has this awesome fold in the side that
makes it look like the decomposing apples I used to find in the orchard near my childhood home.
