Jarvis Cocker got heavy? Not literally (or maybe literally but we haven’t seen his body in a while). But on the first single from his upcoming second solo album due next month, Further Complications. This sounds like the better version of every song in Dazed and Confused. Imagine if Pulp was around when people were getting stoned listening to Blue Oyster Cult. JC would have slapped the joint out of your mouth, straightened his suit and told you to get it together because you were embarrassing him. And you wouldn’t even have been friends, just your general ethereal sloppiness was bad enough to make him pissed. Then he stole your 22-year-old girlfriend Angela. Bummer for you but you had to have seen it coming.
