Video: Cass McCombs f. Karen Black, “Dreams Come True Girl”

Cass McCombs is one of the most overlooked singer songwriters in America. Since 2002's Not The Way, he's been steadily releasing some seriously disconcertingly mellow jams, songs that take a minute to creep you out and a year or two to realize they're just your blues. His new album Catacombs, a much twangier affair, won't be out until June around the world and July in North America, but there's suddenly a lot to find out about it. Above is the new video for the first single, featuring Karen Black, who you might recognize from Easy Rider and might not recognize from about a thousand other movies. Over on McCombs' MySpace is a Catacombs medley streaming, and on his Domino page you can sign up to get an mp3 of another song, "Jonesy Boy." And if that's not enough for you, go to his website for a gallery of some weird vampire dude.
