Jack Peñate‘s “Today’s Tonight” was recently recommended by a great British dance DJ to us as a perfect summer song. Which was, well, surprising. This track has been around a bit, but we skipped it and we bet you did, too. Peñate has apparently been listening to his fellow XL labelmates Magistrates, picking up a bit of white boy funk and Ibiza low end. We’ll be curious what promise the rest of his August album Everything is New fulfills.
