Video: Sorcerer, “Push 2 Freeze”
- story Matthew Schnipper
Chance are your laptop probably came with something that edits video. We’re willing to bet Sorcerer aka Dan Judd, one half of Windsurf, worked on at least half of “Push 2 Freeze” on his computer, too. Taking a fairly strong cue from Windsurf (if he said this was a Windsurf song there would be nothing there to disprove that) and one from the pretty little guitar strokes of Studio, Sorcerer has a pretty good claim to OG beach music, being right by the bay in San Francisco. He ain’t got no lo-fi neither, no afternoon haze translated into sad bedroom guy pop noise. No sun-staring snare drum click clack. Beach Fossils, Holiday Shores, Wavves—look out—high stakes ocean players are coming to collect.
