For all his blond, bloodthirsty beautifulness, the model in the fall ’09 Luminary lookbook could be the star of a Swedish vampire movie. That icy androgyny plays quite nicely into the Luminary aesthetic, especially since photographer-turned-designer Folasade Ologundudu obviously designs with boys and girls in mind. It’s why you won’t find a curved surface in the entire collection—angles stay sharp with awesome light-diffusing engravings, and Ologundudu plays with empty space like a mathematician building a geometry matrix.
