Every week a different FADER staff member will pick a clothing item or accessory that he or she has lately been spending a lot of time with—or would like to—and write a little love letter to it. We would’ve done a column on who we’re dating but that seemed a little bit much. This week our intern Natalia Ciolko writes about the Gold Fish Brand lunchbox.

When it comes to prepping meals, people forget the importance of presentation. If day after day you pack your lunch in a slop-tied old plastic sack, what on Earth do you have to look forward to? I think if there’s one nice thing you do for yourself everyday, it’s to make a well-packed lunch, for work or school. Even if everything else in the day goes wrong, you have one delightful thing for certain.

This lunchbox is best kept alongside your dinner zone—while cleaning up and finishing the last of the wine, arrange your leftover scraps (with art!) into one bowl, and make a simple salad in the other. Or fill one with hot broth and the other with fried fish—there are no rules! This caddy to me is like a dog or best friend: never judging, always supportive and only seeking to be loved.
