The last time Pascal Arbez-Nicolas bka Vitalic released an album it was OK Cowboy and it was way back in the olden days of 2005. Today, it still sounds progressive because before everyone and their mom was layering crusty synths on top of each other in an effort to make bang-your-head-against-the-wall freakouts, Vitalic had it down. November 11th, he'll release his new album Flashmob, which sounds like driving a DeLorean around a glittering metropolis in 2009, not in any approximation of some sort of retrofuturist '80s cool guy style, but because he's legitimately cool enough to pull it off any year that he wants. Down below you can download a 12-minute minimix, which has plenty of low-end synth grime coating its disco edges. It's a little album in itself, and the perfect way to get excited for Dudes Making Killer Electronic Music in 2009.
