It's probably a little unfair to pick favorites given the gazillion looks that have crossed our eyeballs this past week, but we have to admit that Vena Cava's collection sits firmly in our New York Fashion Week top two. There was a tank top made entirely out of giant safety pins, stunning beadwork and of course lots and lots of endlessly gorgeous prints over jumpsuits, diaphanous dresses and high-waisted shorts—the kind of fun, playful and beautiful clothing that will always take a place of pride in the closet. Friends of Vena, Eleanor and Matthew Friedberger, played the show and we caught up with designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai to get the scoop on spring 2010.
