Hi Mobolaji,
i am a big sneaker fan, and enjoyed the story.
i had a similar childhood, in that my parents didn't want me to spend my money on 'silly' things because they were traditionally Chinese people, but i never got my way.
now that ive grown up, i buy what i want, but i did learn some valuable lessons from their frugality

It's stories such as these that motivate sneaker lovers, and what we call OSDers (people that suffer from Obsessive Sneaker Disorder).

Sneakers are ubiquitous fashion items that connect with people from various parts of the world, no matter the differences in culture, language or age.

Thanks for sharing this story with us Mobolaji.
