Hearing Charles Hamilton’s voice is weird right now, and it really shouldn’t be like that. Less than a year ago he was set to conquer the world but unraveled due to some awkward combination of embarrassing domestic footage, dubious production accreditation, and possibly just plain oversaturation. We spoke at length with Hamilton about his life’s hardships pre-internet success so we can’t say we’re surprised at his ability to rebound from a little industry backlash, but we’re also not going to say we aren’t happy to have him back.

Charles is my favorite artist right now. I wouldn’t say rapper because it’s hard to categorize him within rap. Only thing is he is either good or bad no inbteween, but he’s a beast at freestyling. Keep making music Charles.
