Cool uncles stand up! For this video, Small Black hung with band member Josh Kolenik's surfer uncle, waxing surfboards, watching Waterworld, going to the corner store and hitting the beach. It's all real basic shit most of us do every day (except the surfing part and also the Waterworld part), but it takes on more meaning when it's backed up by the band's warm, abstractly sentimental "Despicable Dogs." Watching this makes us want to spend a lot of time with our extended family and also revisit a borderline awful movie we previously thought we would never see again for as long as we lived. Also, if you're in New York and like free music, Small Black are playing the latest installment of our FADER Bowl series tonight at Brooklyn Bowl along with Kurt Vile. Doors are at 8pm, bring your uncle.
