Selima Looks To The Past With Vintage Eyewear Sale

December 10, 2009

If you're looking back in time for style inspiration, you've got to have vintage glasses to help see a little clearer through the nostalgic fog. French New Wave? Some old Persol-type frames will do the trick. If you're channeling Fellini, then it's authentic mid-century Italian wraparounds. So that you don't have to scour the globe yourself, Selima has rounded up vintage frames from the 1960s, '70s, and '80s that will make you feel as much like Sophia Loren as a shot of Limoncello and a cigarette. For five days, starting today, the frames will be on sale at their Wooster Street shop. Selima is also exhibiting the work of French surrealist Marie Beltrami for your viewing pleasure too. Check out a couple pictures of Beltrami's work after the jump.
