Video: Sholi, “All That We Can See”

December 14, 2009

We were watching the apocalypse vehicle 2012 the other day and thinking about how the end of Earth as depicted in that film is very similar to the beginning of Earth, all magma and tumult and obliteration. You know, minus John Cusack. Sholi may be on the same page, since this video is something like the spark of life, starring underwater organisms and fetid cilia, but they get to the true root of creation: the sea anemones traveled into a spaceship disguised as a rock and were transported back from a far-off galaxy as fully formed mammals. Duh! Side note, this is from Sholi's Dreams Before People EP. We featured them in issue 60 and we still rock their amazing cover of Googoosh's "Hejrat" on a regular.
