Maybe we just missed it, but is there a reason that Beach House is not soundtracking every Gossip Girl knockoff under the sun? Is it because their new album is called Teen Dream and all those dudes that get to pick the music for TV shows (give us your jobs) thought it was too obvious? (No seriously, that job is awesome). Whatever dudes, you’ve still got time. NPR is streaming the entire new record, which is a departure for the band in that it abandons the last wisps of tiny music box melody in favor of a more robust instrumental cushion. Like making out for the first time on top of a giant marshmallow. More importantly, there is a song on here called “Walk in the Park,” call us when 90210 starts running it every episode.
