Bullion Fact Mix MP3

January 25, 2010

We were recently introduced to the idea of "lovestep," a new British genre that basically sounds like Sade with more bass. To be honest, we haven't given the genre too much of a chance yet (at least purposefully, am sure the hair-splitters will tell us all kinds of songs we'd just call "garage" or "r&b" are actually lovestep originators), but the idea is appealing. No doubt British producer Bullion is aware of the genre's creation, and demonstrates it with his new Fact mix. Not that any of this music is lovestep, or really anything-step, but it's definitely love music. Maybe like UK funky, this is US lovestep. We're pleasantly surprised to see anything Buffy Saint-Marie anywhere and relistening to her "Adam," that bass really kicks. Lovestep indeed. Take a listen, and for something more traditionally Bullion, check his great mix for Dollars to Pounds.
