Our French is pretty spotty but we gathered from SayCet’s website that “les mélodies valsent, les claviers chantent et les rythmes s’emballent, pris dans un élan d’innocence que la tension vient parfois perturber.” OH YEAHHHH! Which basically means this track off their forthcoming third album Through the Window is a serene ice sheet of beats and whispery lyrics—it’s simultaneously frigid and welcoming, like when you’re about to freeze to death but your brain convinces you that you’re actually warm. Are we projecting? It’s supposed to snow in New York tonight.
