So many designers recycle ideas from the past. AK Vintage, out of Portland, OR, cuts to the chase and recycles actual items from the past. Designer Anna Korte uses leather she has stripped from vintage gloves, and for the rest of her materials, she sifts through mountains of vintage deadstock from costume jewelry warehouses all over the country. The results are anything but old fashioned. Her Fall 2010 collection, previewed here, centers around vintage brass fixtures and black leather.
