Cassette Playa Brings Virtual Reality Inside the Closet

Cassette Playa's latest presentation was pegged as fashion's first ever live augmented reality performance, and if like us, you had no idea what that actually means we've cut and pasted a definition below:

"Augmented reality (AR) is a term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are merged with (or augmented by) virtual computer-generated imagery—creating a mixed reality."

In other words, wearing Carri Munden's awesome new designs could thrust your body headlong into the matrix, or at least have you larking about with a green screen for an hour or two. The London-based designer is hoping that the software for this will be downloadable by next season, which will mean full Avatar superpowers for all loyal CP customers come the fall.
