Gold Coast Trading Co Spring 2010

Former 21 MC co-founder Emeka Alams started his new label Gold Coast Trading Co a couple of seasons ago, and this is our first peep at spring 2010. The collection is called Togo Waves and Road Maps, and some of the best pieces—like the red shorts for ladies—appear to be scribbled with ancient markings, mystery signs and some more familiar graphics (ie this one: $$$), turning the language of slavery on its head. Alarms was listening to BLK JKS and Afrikan Boy when he designed the new pieces, and it’s no surprise that the styling has a London-via-Lagos twang to it. As well as the clothes, there are plenty of great accessories worth checking out too, including a nifty all-over-print duffle bag. More images after the jump.
