We just put this on in the office and spent the entirety of the song trying to figure out what was going on with the beat, which sounds like traveling through a wind tunnel. But considering DB49 (Drunk Before 9)’s mission statement (party jams), this seems like a darker take on a club track—certainly much darker than the laid back “Ready to Go.” Like if the club was actually a boiler room with a bunch of dudes banging on exposed rusty pipes.
