When this album came out (and the song had the suffix “Sincerely Monsters of Folk“), did anyone think it sounded like folk-disco? Because it does. And the drum machine sounds like it’s from a Black Star song. Weird! Richie Havens had a brief, successful disco career, maybe it’s time for the Bright Eyes/Lindstrom collaboration we’ve been waiting for. Regardless, this pretty video is a bit twee for late night dancing, though it’s quite crafty. Just like this collaboration between M Ward, Mike Mogis, Jim James and Conor Oberst. Kind of slept on, dudes! (via Stereogum)

Nicki’s new song Right Thru Me really is a tremendous blessing. The hook is great and Nicki shows that she is still lyrical in the verses.
