Kon & Amir are set to put out the third volume in their Off the Tracks compilation series on April 26th from BBE, and this George Donny McCullough (sorry Donny!) rarity leads it all off. It also just lead off the first officially ridiculously beautiful spring day in New York City. No lie, we stepped out the front the door this morning and a fine young woman with big puffy pig tails was cruising down the sidewalk on old rollerskates. People plan for this shit in New York for months. Glad it’s here and more glad this song is available for it. The rest of the compilation is just as perfect for warmer times with dusty, dusty disco and barbecue breaks. Piano time!

I LOVE this song. Listening to it brings back a lot of great memories of Donny & crew. We had an absolute blast in the studio waaay back in the day (LOL). It’s delightful to know that a new generation will get to hear and enjoy “From the Heart.” I hope people feel the joy and great energy that we exuded during that time.
