When we talked to Victoria Legrand, one half of Beach House, for FADER #66, she told us that, before, Beach House was for making out, and now, with the release of their third album, Teen Dream, Beach House was about having sex. It’s a good progression through the bases—though we didn’t ask about the freaky shit their next album would have to represent to keep things lively. On the surface, Minnesota Public Radio is not a hotbed of sextastic jams, but they did invite the Baltimore duo to play some tracks from Teen Dream. They had to promise not to talk about private parts. So instead they just played the prettiest music in the universe. Good deal!

This is the closest thing to religion that I have as an Atheist.
Same.
Victoria sounds hoarse.
so perfect
10 Mile Stereo is a cover?
10 Mile Stereo is Beach House… Little Girls covered it.
I think I’m going to cry hysterically when I see them in Dallas.
I just saw them live in Austin and I’ve never been so happy at a concert in my life. I like what Saul said about it being a spiritual experience. They sounded amazing. And I’m just going to throw this out there, the last time a band made me feel this way and I couldn’t stop listening to the record over and over again daily, was in 1986 when I discovered The Smiths.
