Every third rap song is about kush, but it's saying something that young superstar Freddie Gibbs, a self-proclaimed "marijuana addict," has written a new one that feels like the first time. Maybe it's cause it's 4/20, sunny out and we're in the mood for this, but the solid breeziness of "Personal OG" has us longing to drive around LA freeways in Freddie's jeep (everyone in LA has a jeep, right?) and sing along to the chorus. You know we be takin it slow/ Takin it slow/ OG kush to purple dro. If we got the lyrics wrong blame it on the weed like Wayne Marshall.
