Only in the vaguely unsettling pop music world of Sincerely Yours does it make sense for jj to cover Jeremih’s “Birthday Sex” to celebrate the release/birth of the first promotional video from the next mysterious Sincerely Yours release, CEO. Like much of the music they’ve put out in the past, it’s pretty, poppy and there’s a slightly disturbing undercurrent through the whole thing.
