Video: Robert Lester Folsom, “Ginger”

April 22, 2010

We are living in the golden age of reissues. No album is left un-rediscovered, and no matter how obscure, there is a good chance we'll be able to buy it on 180 gram vinyl within a year. It is great but overwhelming. Robert Lester Folsom is the latest in a long line of semi-forgotten artists to get the deluxe reissue treatment from Mexican Summer, and the timing couldn't be more perfect. If you're into breezy rock, feeling like you're on the beach when you're not actually on the beach, or talking about summer every day of the year, then RLF is for you. "Ginger" is a video made up of footage from from back in the day when people had to go outside and have fun because they had way less shit to do inside. If this post combined with the video make you feel bummed about living in a modern world, don't despair, you can still go outside and listen to mp3s of this album on your portable mp3 player.
