Now that CDs are on their way to being completely irrelevant, it's weird to think of an entire generation of kids that will have no concept of what a CD skipping sounds like, or how it could go from being one of the most annoying sounds ever to an important part of a song. When we have to explain to our children what it means for a CD to skip, it will be one of the top ten most boring conversations they will ever have. But we'd like to think we will be able to make it not boring by playing them Becoming Real's remix of Seams' "Nightcycles," which is built on an extra strong bass backbone and tiny snippets of repetition that sounds exactly like a disc screwing up at the perfect moment.
