What else can we really say about Freddie Gibbs? He's rapping from the point of view of the poor underdog here, as is Bun. Both dudes are probably doing much better than "rock bottom" at this point, but it's a testament to their skills as storytellers—unflashy rappers who are more concerned about getting their words out there concisely and with minimal theatrics. There's no misinterpreting, no ambiguity. This is a song about wanting more than you have, which has been done many times before. But both of these guys are excellent at it.
