Stream: Seu Jorge’s New Album

July 23, 2010

At the end of The Life Aquatic, Seu Jorge, in his red cap, sits on a baroque stage and covers David Bowie in Portuguese. Game over for coolness, Seu Jorge wins. It's hard to compete with Brazil in the badass game. But either to prove a point or out of hip inertia, Jorge kept going, anyway, and now has a new rock group, Almaz, who are backing him on his new album. He covers both Roy Ayers and Michael Jackson because he is a diverse man. We may be more fond of the bump of his originals, but it's a peppery mix.
