Tamaryn specializes in the kind of crushing pop songs that you want to hear when all is lost. That is a dying art in these days when a lot of music aims to fit mood with plan of action: happy songs make you want to do happy things, sad songs vice versa. Tamaryn is for people who want to walk out not wallow in misery, who want to go to the coffee shop and stare at the cheery until they become uncomfortable. In that way, Tamaryn's songs are cathartic and aerobic, and "Love Fade" is no exception. It's from the band's new album The Waves on Mexican Summer (Sep 15) which they will hopefully be playing in its entirety when they run a short string of dates this fall.
