With its space-bliss aura and bubblegum-hummable chorus, Yeasayer's "Madder Red," the original, was ripe for remixing from jump—in that regard, it's like an inchoate baby jam to The xx's "Islands." But so far every interpretation has been pretty inventive, whether cranking the gear on the mystical aspect (Golden Filter) or winding it down for minimal picnics (Henning Fürst). Munk decides to take it on a motorcycle ride to a planetarium date, speeding up the "oohs" and trying to coerce those Yeasayer boys into staying out past their bedtimes. Bet it worked.
