First Look: Prada Spring 2011

September 23, 2010

The parade of white that we've seen thus far from the spring collections doesn't leave much hope for the awkward, clumsier folks (us!) who spill coffee and chocolate ice cream on their outfits. Ivory just doesn't mesh with our subway-riding lifestyle too often, and almost every women's collection for Spring 2011 needs a ready-to-go packet of bleach as an accessory. Not Miuccia, though. Fresh from Milan, a first peek at Prada's Spring 2011 line promises clothes with a punchier sense of humor than the average white sheath. Miuccia never shies away from an inside joke, but her banana-print blouse is Prada at its most perfect, some heady, bizarro mix of fun frump and classic nostalgia. Plus, it's easier to hide food stains on a blouse that already has culinary wonders printed right on! (via The Cut)
