Premiere: Wyatt, Atzmon, Stephen, “Laura” MP3

Wyatt, Atzmon, Stephen_byTaliAtzmon

Soft Machiner Robert Wyatt gone (more) classical. His trio of him, Gilad Atzmon (best name) and Ros Stephen, recorded with a string quartet, a telephone for practice, light reeds, lemon cake/John Coltrane spirits. “Laura,” a Cole Porter lullaby (not literally) is from the resulting album, For the Ghosts Within, out soon on Domino. It sounds like Afghan rugs and heirloom tomatoes, the kind of thing Tom Ford listens to while crying about the birth of his sister’s third child, a bright and healthy boy. Hallelujah for miracles and all of their corresponding gentle tones.

What a pity that Atzmon is such a racist knob.

gs sez……’pity…….” blah blah…..but apparently your comprehension of what constitutes racism is limilted to your own obvious blindness. Gilad is a singular voice of courage and truth….AND makes incredible music….sticking your head in the sand wont make the truth go away. Apartheid and racism are what he EXPOSES.
