Video: O’Jay Boulevard, “Scarlett”

Nobody makes music videos anymore, or maybe everybody does? Chop it up in iMovie, you're a regular Stan Scorsese. We don't remember Lost In Translation except for these clips anyway, the pink wig head-on-shoulder shot, the title screen booty pic. They’re snippets of legend. Glasgow's O’Jay Boulevard pulled the pieces together for his future-garage gem "Scarlett," it’s an iMasterpiece. Aesthetic synergy: hack up the vocals, hack up the vid. No idea where the pseudo-lyrics come from, they sound more like words in a waterfall, thoughts falling down the stairs. "Scarlett" reminds us of Pogo's "Alice In Wonderland" mix, they're hyper-mutilated syllables but they never feel messed with, organic, like that's the way words were.
