Meet Jessy Nite. She is the second artist featured in our coverage of the Exhibitalia we presented with FIAT USA during Art Basel last week. Jess is a fly homegirl based out of Miami with a strength in art direction. Her passions include typography, illustration, and design with an emphasis on color. Her work has graced a plethora of corporate advertisements while at the same time, showing her street work in local grassroots galleries. Her modus operandi? To view the world through a prism of rainbow colored sunglasses that , in her words, “turn vice, gore, and greed into fluffy fun”. For Exhibitalia, Jess’ mission was to transform a Fiat door into a creature of her imagination. Watch the video to see the transformation from a clean white door to a blinged out jewel landscape disguised within hot rod racing stripes. Jess’s imaginary car would be the modern day equivalent of a “Pink Ladies” vehicle gone badder.
