Pigalle Stays Humble, Makes Great Clothes

January 14, 2011

Over at SlamXHype they've got a nice interview with Stephane Ashpool about his spring collection for Pigalle, the French streetwear brand and boutique nestled in the 9th district of Paris. Ashpool is an unlikely leader for the Parisian fashion world, a man committed to staying real and modest: "The main ambition of the Pigalle collection is to remain humble, not too expensive and have great quality." This is a pleasant manifesto, and in our eyes, the preferred modus operandi for streetwear, which by nature is always supposed to stay connected to the street. And it shows in Pigalle's unfussy, enviable clothes, easy looks that are seamless additions to any wardrobe. After the jump, check out a behind the scenes video of the spring presentation and more images of the collection.
