A year ago Mike Posner was a senior at Duke University, running around campus trying to convince video vixens to let him buy an ounce to express his love. Over summer vacation he linked with J records and materialized at Bonnaroo and America's Got Talent to share his mondo song for sorority girls that is about the worst parts of acting like a sorority girl on Facebook. In 2007 we were in college and didn't have a Facebook account. Lil Wayne was blessing at least half of the songs released into the world, many better than others. We hoarded them like newspapers in an attic without classification, are now able to pull something like his time with (who is?) Paula DeAnda on "Easy" from the shelf in the way-back of our mind. The oasis he carves in the desert of that song is exactly thirty seconds long, he says I go by the name Caaaarter, I got more plaques than taaaarter. Weezy's been there and back since Paula, but we'll be happy to clear a corner of our external hard drive for whatever songs he wants to hide verses on now while stretching out for Carter IV. Girls, we do not advise you to get your red bull on for Mike Posner! Wayne goes in at 2:00, stays for a little more than half a minute.
