Is it possible to sound dark and sunny at the same time? Apparently yes, because Craft Spells just did it with “You Should Close The Door,” which plays like a sped up highlight reel of downer moments from a teenage diary. Guess this is what happens when you internalize the entire Smiths and Cure back catalogs like they’re your native language and spit out an album’s worth of melancholy pop like you’ve been planning your entire life around the idea.
