Video: No Gold, “We/Be/Do”

April 25, 2011

Probably one of the hugest bummers is looking back at technology we were really stoked on back in the day. Sure, it's cool in that nostalgic retro fetishist way—but at the same time, most of us spent like 50 bucks on Nintendo games that were basically just a vague outline of a person kicking at a hacky sack. All that is a way of saying that No Gold's video for "We/Be/Do" makes us feel bad for the last 20 years of public technological development, but also so glad this stuff exists in the hearts and minds of the world's 20-somethings. The song is a jam as well, so hopefully it lives on forever, and then down the line we can show it to our kids and be like THIS IS HOW WE SPENT OUR TIME, and then they will laugh at us until they discover they like this song too and reluctantly admit that we're cool parents. Dreams.
