Z-Ro’s 5200 Mixtape

June 14, 2011

Just when you thought that Waka Flocka had fully cornered the market for borderline nonsensical mixtape alias puns, Z-Ro, the man formerly known as Rother Vandross and Relvis Presley, comes back to reclaim what is rightfully his. Ro. Hammad. Ali. Though most of the cuts on 5200 are too short (no Todd Shaw) and generally under-polished, new Ro is always welcome. Especially when he's rhyming over State Vs. Radric Davis instrumentals (not timely, but still knocking) and what might be the hardest "Moments In Love" flip ever set to tape titled, appropriately, "Moments In The Hood."
