Video: Africa Hitech, “Out in the Streets”

June 30, 2011

The glitchy video for Africa Hitech's still-massive "Out in the Streets," directed by Sixty40, re-aims the song's iconic Ini Kamoze sample fittingly toward the future, where a manufacturing defect in humanoid robots is causing them to prematurely expire. As they helplessly power down, their final jittery moves taking on the form of song-appropriate dance moves, some of the robots start to sense their impending demise and in a final decisive act, take control one last time to reject the death of recycling. The duo's debut album 93 Million Miles is out now on Warp.
