Boxing Kitten Tones it Down For Fall

July 01, 2011

The playfully brilliant Ankara prints upon whichBoxing Kitten has built their name, can be an acquired taste, one that seems to have, at the very least, caught the tongue of Burberry's Christopher Bailey. Switching it up and moving on, designer Maya Lake has toned down the color palette and mixed up her textiles for the fall 2011 collection—dialing back to richer, slightly muted jewel tones and layering traditional wax cloth with swathes of spotted sheer velvet. The result is an unassumingly sultry collection.
