Video: ASAP Rocky, “Purple Swag”

STORY BY:

Uptown smoker and wave/swag/screw fusionist ASAP Rocky pays a proper homage to the greatest rap song of the last decade, “Still Tippin.” Speaking not only to a post-region rap world, but a post-race one as well, the video features a blonde chick in golds, lip syncing with an uncomfortable swagger that recalls the Pink Shirt Girl of Rebecca Black fame. As a pioneering white wearer of fronts and awkward swag possessor himself, Paul Wall would most certainly approve.

    I’m pretty sure most kids from Harlem don’t really know who Aesop Rock is or give a shit who Aesop Rock is. You can put me in the latter of those two catagories. Plus the names might sound a little similar but their not the same and im pretty sure have way different meanings.
